Harriett Moore
Welcome!
I'm Harriett Moore, an IT Operations Manager at a Worcestershire School.
I have a varied background within the field of both education and research. I studied Animal Behaviour at University College Chester (then a college of Liverpool University) where I engaged with a wide selection of research methodologies, from observational approaches to applied research in a range of contexts. My skills have transferred effectively into analysing human behaviour. I have been involved with education since the mid-2000s as a secondary IT teacher and an IT Operations Manager, among other roles. Throughout my career, I have engaged with applied research to help facilitate change and to inform a variety of audiences, continually challenging perspectives in the limitations of what people think is possible and what can actually be achieved.
I currently manage the school’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and am a firm believer that education is much more than classroom-based learning, rather requiring a ‘whole-person centred’ approach.
In my spare time, I enjoy studying Wing Chun Kuen (a simple but effective Chinese martial art system), mountain walking and wild camping, and creating handcrafted items that I sell through a variety of channels as Ediout Design.
My website is a place where you can find information about my academic writing, my craft business, and my other projects. I hope you'll explore the website and learn more about me and my work.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always happy to answer questions and help in any way I can.
